Steam Engineer Course 2003
In October of 2003 this hardy group of enthusiasts enrolled in the Steam Engineer Course at the Boothbay Railway Village. Spending a day in the classroom and a second day in the cab, these inquisitive individuals got the unique experience of operating a two-foot gauge steam locomotive. Thank you to museum staff and students for a successful program.
The classroom for the steam course was the museum restoration workshop. A fitting environment for learning from a hands-on point of view.
A new meaning to "All Aboard"!
Ellen and Brian applying their new knowledge.
The recent classroom work is now fully experienced by students with care and fun.
Steam is up and we are underway.
